Blown Away

It is Monday morning and the wind is still blowing hard. The weekend was windy and wet. On Saturday Neta and I went to a science fiction convention. It was interesting and fun. We saw Richard Kiel at the convention. It is a small world. Richard lives in Coarsegold, California 7 miles from Oakhurst. Richard is the actor who played Jaws in some of the James Bond movies.

On Sunday we took a drive along the coast to be out in the weather. It was not raining much but the wind was blowing 35 to 40 miles per hour. The wind was furious all night and it has subsided some this morning. Now it is only 20 to 25 Mph. The wind mill where we live creaked and at the very top you could feel it slightly move. It was a little scary.

Well, got to get ready for work now.

  1. I hope you tossed a couple of sacks of grain on the millstones while the wind was blowing. Neta could use some fresh whole-grain flour for the cooking show. It’s a shame to waste a good windstorm.

  2. I'll keep that in mind for the next one. And there will be a next one. Looks like your table is turning out round.
